This website is operated by the Massachusetts Democratic Party (“MassDems”, “we” or “us”). This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by the MassDems with respect to your use of the Web sites such as this which are operated by the MassDems and which display this Policy (the “Sites”) so you can make an informed decision about using the Sites. How we collect and use information
You do not have to identify yourself or provide your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address (“Personal Information”) to use the Site.
If you should choose to give us your Personal Information, you decide how much information to provide. At various points we ask for your e-mail address, thoughts and comments. We will use your e-mail address to provide you news and information about MassDems.
Our general policy is not to make your Personal Information available to anyone other than our staff and agents. We may make Personal Information available to organizations with similar political objectives and viewpoints for the purpose of advancing our own political objectives. We will not sell this information.
We treat your first name, city, state, and any comments as Public Information. We may make your comments along with your first name, city, and state available to the public.
Non-identifiable website visitor data may be collected and used in aggregate to help shape, direct, and improve content of the Site.
Cookies
A “cookie” is a small data file that websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as user ID that the Site uses to math with the registration you already provided to us. Opting Out Information
Subscribers to our email list may terminate their subscriptions via a link at the bottom of each email sent from www.massdems.org.
SMS Opt-Out: If you are receiving text messages from us and wish to stop receiving them, simply respond with either “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to the number from which you received the message. Once we receive your message, you will no longer receive further text messages from us.”
