2022 MassDems Convention

On Friday, June 3rd and Saturday, June 4th, delegates will gather at the DCU Center in Worcester and virtually to endorse candidates for statewide office and unite to elect Democrats down the ballot in November of 2022.

From February 4th to March 12th, towns and wards will convene hybrid or virtual caucuses to elect delegates and alternates to the Convention. Towns and wards holding hybrid caucuses must do so following all current COVID Safety requirements for in-person events. Read the Method of Selecting Delegates here.

More information about scheduling and running hybrid caucuses, as well as trainings for Chairs and facilitators, will be posted in the coming weeks.

Virtual & Hybrid Caucusing

Towns and wards should hold completely virtual or hybrid caucuses, an in-person caucus with a virtual participation option for those uncomfortable with attending in-person. No town or ward may hold a caucus without an option for virtual participation.

The Party will work with committees to share Zoom licenses with trained attendants, distributed on a first come first serve basis, to assist Chairs with technology and voting during their caucus.

Trainings for Chairs and Volunteers

Ahead of the caucus season, chairs and volunteers have the opportunity to attend two types of training sessions. Chair training sessions will focus on the method of selecting delegates and the rules governing caucuses. Tech training sessions will focus on virtual check-in, nomination, and voting procedures. We highly recommend Chairs attend both sessions to ensure their caucuses are run smoothly and successfully.
