New Year’s Edition

Greetings from Kate and Matt
Dear Democrats,

As we go into the New Year, it is a time of reflection. I have been thinking about this past year and the upcoming year. I am looking forward to having a Democratic Congress. The successes we had were in large part because of grassroots activism across the country. We can make a difference.

We make a difference because people decide to give of themselves. Use this “down time” to think about what you can personally do to make a difference this coming year. After the election in 2016 I was regularly approached by people asking how they could make a difference. The points I made are as valid now as they were then. Check out the list below.

Democratically yours,

Kate Donaghue

PS Please be sure that you use the DDemDispatch-owner e-mail address when sending in events. And please keep in mind that Matt and I work hard to try to get the most up to date information, but sometimes things change or there is a miscommunication. Check with the organizer or the website if you see something that looks wrong.

Request for Events for the Democratic Dispatch
As the year comes to a close and people are scheduling out events for the next calendar year, please consider submitting them to the Democratic Dispatch and the Mass Dems calendar. If your committee or Democratic organization meets on a regular basis, please consider sending events in now. Please send the dates for the year. It’s better to send the actual dates, along with information such as, “The Anytown DTC meets on the first Monday of the month, except July and December.” Send events to events@MassDems.org. We are transitioning to work in partnership with the MDP.

You Have to Laugh Occasionally – Edited by Matt Shear
Tea Pain – We currently have an “acting” Chief of Staff, an “acting” Attorney General and an “acting” Secretary of Defense, but what we don’t have is anyone “acting” like a President.
Rocky Mountain Mike – We don’t need to put Trump behind prison walls. Big, beautiful steel slats will do.
Top Conservative Cat – BREAKING: President Trump visits Iraq after hearing they don’t have an extradition treaty with US.
