Voting in 2020

Vote by Mail

The deadline to request a mail-in ballot has passed. If you have not returned your ballot yet, do not mail it. Drop it off at your local election office or in a drop box near you.

Don’t forget to sign the envelope containing your ballot–the lack of a signature is the number one reason why vote-by-mail ballots are rejected.

If you’re mailing your ballot, it needs to be postmarked by November 3, 2020 and it must reach your local election office by November 6, 2020. Mail as early as possible because the Post Office does not always postmark every envelope. First time voters may receive a notice from your local election official. If you receive this notice, include a copy of your ID on the outside of your ballot envelope.

You can track your ballot using the Secretary of State’s website. If it is not received by November 3, 2020, you may vote in person.
