What Should Governor Baker Tell Trump At The Inauguration? – Mass Dems Launch Online Survey
BOSTON – Massachusetts residents have a chance to tell Governor Baker what he should say to President-Elect Donald Trump when the Governor attends the Inauguration next week. In an online survey launched today by the Massachusetts Democratic Party, residents are invited to choose the top issues they want Governor Baker to talk to Donald Trump about. Residents can also tell Governor Baker which of Trump’s appointments they are most concerned about.
“The people of Massachusetts are growing impatient with Governor Baker’s continued silence when it comes to Donald Trump and the conservative Republican agenda,” said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair Gus Bickford. “When will he speak up against the reckless Republican agenda that would hurt Massachusetts? When will he speak out against Trump’s dangerous Cabinet appointments? Or will Governor Baker just stick with his wait-and-see approach until it’s too late? The Governor needs to end his silence and start standing up for the people of Massachusetts.”
More than 15,000 Massachusetts residents have already signed the state Democratic Party’s petitioncalling on Governor Charlie Baker to take a stand against President-Elect Donald Trump’s choice of Steve Bannon, a prolific white supremacist and anti-Semite, as Chief Strategist and Senior Counsel.
The Party will compile the survey answers next week and let the Governor know what his constituents want him to say when he goes to Washington later this month.
