BOSTON- On Saturday, September 7, The Massachusetts Democratic State Committee elected Nicole LaChapelle as their new treasurer at their meeting at North High School in Worcester.

“I would like to thank my fellow State Committee members for their vote of confidence. I am excited to work with the Democrats across the state in upcoming election cycles as we successfully elect Democrats,” said LaChapelle following her election.

On the Democratic State Committee, LaChapelle holds a gender balance seat. She serves as chair of the Campaign Services committee and is the former co-chair of the Field Services sub-committee in addition to membership on the Executive, Women and Communication sub-committees.

LaChapelle is the Director of a Massachusetts approved private special needs school and holds the certifications of Superintendent and Special Education Administrator as well as being admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2002. She has served on numerous boards including the Children’s Museum in Holyoke, Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts and her local Zoning Board. Currently, LaChapelle is an active member of the Emerge Massachusetts Advisory Board, local and state Democratic committees.

“Nicole is an excellent choice to keep the party financially strong in order to continue the fight to protect working families in Massachusetts,” said Chair John Walsh.
