MassDems Chair Tom McGee Congratulates Brady on Primary Win, Discusses General Election Ahead

BOSTON—As State Representative Mike Brady emerges the winner of tonight’s Democratic primary race in the 2nd Plymouth and Bristol district, MassDems Chair Tom McGee released the following statement:
“Tonight we congratulate our Democratic nominee Mike Brady on his primary victory. Both Mike and fellow Democrat Joe Lynch ran commendable campaigns that focused on discussing issues and engaging voters at the grassroots,” said MassDems Chair Tom McGee. “As Democrats unite to stand with Mike Brady, we do so based on his commitment to fight for working and middle class families in the 2nd Plymouth and Bristol District.”

“Mike’s campaign message of leveling the playing field for hard working voters is in direct contrast with the divisiveness of his Tea Party opponent Geoff Diehl. While Mike supported giving a raise to working families, Diehl and his Tea Party supporters did not. In fact, Diehl is so out of touch he even appeared at Donald Trump’s recent event in Massachusetts. Republicans in Massachusetts like to claim they are a different brand, but Diehl’s extremist views show that he is lock-step with the national Republican Party.”

“I look forward to knocking on doors in the 2nd P&B District over the next month talking to voters about why Mike Brady is the best candidate.”
