MASSACHUSETTS DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR TOM MCGEE RELEASES STATEMENT ON CLEAN SWEEP IN SPECIAL ELECTIONS
Democratic Nominees Victorious in All Five of Yesterday’s Special Elections
BOSTON – Following yesterday’s clean sweep of special elections, where Massachusetts Democrats won all five seats, Democratic Party Chair Tom McGee released the following statement.
“Elections are about ideas and values and once again Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly placed their faith and trust in our Democratic nominees. This is a clear message that voters believe Democrats are the ones with the best ideas on job creation, education, transportation and equality. ”
Victorious candidates were State Senator Jason Lewis (5th Middlesex- Malden, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, and Winchester) and State Representatives RoseLee Vincent (16th Suffolk- Saugus, Chelsea and Revere), John Velis (4th Hampden- Westfield), Dan Hunt (13th Suffolk- Dorchester and Quincy), Dan Ryan (2nd Suffolk- Charlestown and Chelsea).
