Welcome back to the Bay State! Caucuses, Campaign Kick-offs, & More!

Dear Democrats,

First, let me just say: welcome back to the Bay State Massachusetts Democrats! I know you’re tired from knocking doors in New Hampshire, but your work is not over yet. Super Tuesday is just a few weeks away. With all the presidential campaigns staffing up here in our state, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with your candidate. Check their websites for upcoming canvasses and phone banks.

Leading up to March 3rd, make sure that you, your friends, and your family members make a plan to vote. That means asking questions like: are you voting in person or mailing in an absentee ballot? Will you vote before work, after work, or on your lunch break? Can you take public transportation to your polling place or will you need to ask a friend for a ride? Thinking about these questions in advance can help you troubleshoot anything that might keep you from voting on primary day.

One last note: MassDems’ caucus season officially begins this weekend–we’re excited to start welcoming folks as delegates to our Convention! For all our locally involved Democrats looking for caucus information: you can find the dates, times, and locations of all scheduled caucuses here. To all our town and ward committee chairs running their caucuses this weekend–good luck! Don’t hesitate to call our caucus hotline at (617) 939-0800.

Have a great weekend!

All the best,

Allison Mitchell
Communications Manager, Massachusetts Democratic Party

Ideas for Committees

Take your caucus online! Your caucus is a unique opportunity for Democrats from your town or ward to come together and talk about the issues and candidates most important to them ahead of the 2020 election. Posting about your caucus showcases all your hard work and encourages folks to engage with your committee in the future. Take plenty of pictures and post them on social media with #MassDemsCaucus. Make sure to tag us @massdems, and your post just might get shared on our account!
