Unity! – 09/07/2018

Greetings from Kate and Matt

Dear Democrats,

Unity Weekend!!!!!

The Massachusetts Democratic Party Unity Rally with Senator Elizabeth Warren, candiate for Governor Jay Gonzalez and his running mate, Quentin Palfrey, along with Democratic Nominee for Massachusetts’ 7th District, Councilor Ayanna Pressley.

Sunday, September 9, Cambridge Community Center

5 Callender Street, Cambridge

Doors Open: 11:00 AM

Event Starts: 12:00 PM

https://secure.ngpvan.com/9sht823opUaiP9F-Ws2lwQ2

HAPPY COORDINATED! On Tuesday evening, as Senator Warren’s campaign staffers filed into the Jay Gonzalez’ event someone gave me a hug and greeted me with “Happy Coordinated.” This is the part of the campaign cycle where we are supporting all the Democratic nominees.

We’ve got less than nine weeks until the most important midterm elections of our lifetimes. Now that the Massachusetts Primary is over, it’s time to come together as one, unified party and help elect our great Democratic nominees.

As we go into these final weeks, Matt and I will be very busy with campaigns. As usual our focus in the Dispatch will be events and gatherings. For canvasses and phone banks, because of the shear numbers of events, we mostly include links to the coordinated campaign schedule. I’ll have less time to search e-mails and read newsletters. If there are appropriate events that you want included please send them to DDemDispatch-owner@yahoogroups.com with the subject “For the Dispatch”, preferably in “Dispatch format” so that Matt and I can quickly cut and paste. We appreciate everyone who takes the time to send events. We also appreciate your patience with your two volunteer editors!

Democratically yours,

Kate Donaghue

PS Please be sure that you use the DDemDispatch-owner e-mail address when sending in events. And please keep in mind that Matt and I work hard to try to get the most up to date information, but sometimes things change or there is a miscommunication. Check with the organizer or the webiste if you see something that looks wrong.

Ideas for Committees – Unity Event

September 8 is a Day of Unity for our Party, bringing everyone together Democrats canvassing in over 100 communities.

Here’s a list – https://bit.ly/2NyBsM3

Have people from your Committee take part in an event as a group. Then do something social in conjunction with the event. Breakfast, ice cream or drinks with fellow volunteers will help us unify after the primary work and together as a party.

MESSAGE FROM MDP CHAR GUS BICKFORD: There’s a lot at stake this November. We have strong elected Democrats to get re-elected like Senator Elizabeth Warren, Attorney General Maura Healey, Treasurer Deb Goldberg, Auditor Suzanne Bump, and members of Congress. We have to prove to voters just how important it is that we replace our Republican Governor with a Democrat who represents our values and is committed to fighting for our working families and ensuring a better future for all. And we have a number of Democrats fighting to replace Republicans in our state legislature.
