Special Elections, Events, & More!

Dear Democrats,

For many of us, the past week has been full of ups and downs. In the wake of Super Tuesday, it can sometimes feel like our work is done–but there’s still so much left to do.

Four special election races are in full swing, and we have the opportunity to flip three seats in the legislature. Democrats in Plymouth & Barnstable, the Second Hampden & Hampshire, the Third Bristol, and the 37th Middlesex are fighting hard in these purple districts, but they can’t do it alone. We’ve only got 25 days until the 3/31 election day and MassGOP has already said they’re going all out for these races. In other words: there’s no time to waste.

Each candidate has several opportunities to get involved over the next few weeks, starting with this weekend. Click the links above to get involved in the district closest to you. Our candidates know how important issues like climate, education, and transportation are to the people in their district, and they’ve got what it takes to work for them on Beacon Hill.

Thank you, and see you on the doors this weekend!

All the best,

Allison Mitchell
Communications Manager, Massachusetts Democratic Party

Ideas for Committees

Reorganization is right around the corner, and you might have some new members on your committee after Tuesday’s election! Remember, you must hold your reorganization meetings within 10 days after the 30th day after Tuesday’s primary, that translates into April 2nd through April 12th. So get a head start, and over the next few weeks, reach out current and future members of your committee to find a date, time, and location that works best. The MassDems will be in touch soon with more instructions!
