Runoff Elections and Holiday Parties – 11/16/2018
Greetings from Kate and Matt
Dear Democrats,
Congratulations to Jared Golden for his victory in Maine. His margin of victory was 2,905 votes. I don’t have any numbers on out of state shifts, but I think it is safe to say that Massachusetts volunteers were an important factor in getting that margin. Thank you to everyone who knocked on doors, made phone calls or donated to his campaign. This is a great example of how volunteers can make a difference.
The elections go on. In Mississippi, Mike Espy is in a November 27th runoff for the Senate. There will be a December 4 runoff in Georgia for Secretary of State and Public Service Commission. These are moving forward and there will likely be opportunities to help. Watch news and email for information on how to get involved. Call me or email me if you want to connect. I’m at 508-404-8531 or KateDonaghue@aol.com.
The work we do on the ground matters.
Donate TODAY to Mike Espy! https://secure.actblue.com/donate/espy
Democratically yours,
Kate Donaghue

Ideas for Committees – Have a Holiday Party
Social gatherings are an integral part of the fabric of a committee. A holiday party can be a simple event at a member’s home. Or it can be coming together at a restaurant for appetizers and drinks. Some find that a “post holiday” party works better on winter schedules. When people socialize together we become more comfortable and effective working with each other. This can make a huge difference during the stresses of campaigns.
