Primary season in high-gear! Campaign Kick-offs, Breakfasts, Mardi Gras, & More.

Dear Democrats,

It’s certainly been an exciting week for Democrats. Here in Massachusetts, long time activists and first time caucus-goers came together in over 30 communities last Saturday to kick-off MassDems caucus season!

We’ve got even more caucuses coming up this weekend and we highly recommend following #MassDemsCaucus and #mapoli on Twitter so you can catch a glimpse of the action! If you’ll be one of the Bay Staters caucusing, snap some photos and join the conversation. We were so thrilled to see that turnout was high across the Commonwealth last weekend–we see you’re just as excited for the 2020 MassDems Convention as we are! Just a reminder: you can find the dates, times, and locations of all scheduled caucuses here.

On a larger scale, the presidential primary race has officially kicked into high-gear. We’re sure you’ve seen some highlights from Wednesday’s debate, and with almost 75,000 Nevadans turning out to vote early before tomorrow’s caucus, it’s safe to say that Democrats are fired up and ready to take on Trump this November. Super Tuesday is right around the corner, so don’t miss your opportunity to help out your candidate here at home. Check the candidates’ websites for upcoming events in Massachusetts.

Happy caucusing and have a great weekend!

All the best,

Allison Mitchell
Communications Manager, Massachusetts Democratic Party

Ideas for Committees

Make sure your committee members know about early voting! Here in Massachusetts, early voting takes place in the 5 days before the March 3rd Presidential Primary, which means it starts next week! However, specific dates and times will differ from community to community so make sure to check here, or with your local election clerk, to find out when and where you can vote early. Send out an email blast to your committee members to encourage them to take advantage of early voting–if they cast their ballots before primary day, that frees them up to help others with rides to the polls or GOTV for their preferred candidate!
