Now is the Time to Act – 09/21/2018

Greetings from Kate and Matt

Dear Democrats,

The clock is ticking on November 6. Think about how some felt in November of 2016 and people said to themselves, I wish I had done more. Think about how some people have felt in the final days of the election and the team was falling short of the goals and the thinking is, “We should have started this earlier.” Don’t wait to the final weekend or two. Your time is more helpful now.

I was canvassing on Tuesday and I ran into a voter who happened to be on my walk list. I identified him as a supporter and then, as always, I asked if he would like to volunteer. On Thursday he came to an organizing meeting. He’s canvassing on Saturday and he has signed up for several shifts. If a team of three recruits just one volunteer in the course of a shift, who signs up for three shifts, you have DOUBLED your power.

Don’t wait to the last minute. Schedule time NOW. Take Tuesday November 6 as a vacation day. Take Monday if you can. Were you saving your vacation time to spend it with your family? Sign them up to volunteer as well. Volunteering together is a great way to spend family time! Two years from now you’ll never remember what you did at work that day, but you’ll always remember that you were there for the “Blue Wave of 2018” either helping here in Mass or in NH, ME or NY.

Want to find an opportunity to talk to voters near you? Check it out:

There are many other places to help. If you don’t find a locations that suits you, please let me know and I will work with you to find something near you! I am KateDonaghue@aol.com at 508-404-8531.

Democratically yours,

Kate Donaghue
