April 12, 2019/Dispatch
Many New Events!
Greetings from Kate and Matt
Dear Democrats,
On Thursday I received an AFL-CIO Action Alert: As of 1:00pm, Thursday April 11th, 31,000 Stop & Shop workers across New England are on strike! Stop & Shop is a multi-billion-dollar company that is attempting to enforce takebacks. These takebacks will not only hurt workers, but also their families. The Massachusetts Democratic Party stands in solidarity with our fellow works and we will not cross the picket line. Head to your nearest Stop & Shop and show our union family some needed support— we need to hold the line!
As we approach caucus season, I would like to share the link for caucus listings across the state:
https://massdems.org/2019-convention-caucus-information/
It is easy to find a caucus in any community. We do not normally include individual caucus information in the Dispatch. If there is a meeting or a speaker in conjunction with the caucus we will make an exception.
Democratically yours,
Kate Donaghue
PS Please be sure that you use the DDemDispatch-owner e-mail address when sending in events. And please keep in mind that Matt and I work hard to try to get the most up to date information, but sometimes things change or there is a miscommunication. Check with the organizer or the website if you see something that looks wrong.
Information for Committees – Caucus Training
Caucus trainings are being conducted by the Field Services Committee of the Mass Dems. Whether you are an old hand or chairing your first caucus I encourage you to attend. Experienced chairs can share your knowledge. Encourage other officers to attend. Beyond any actual information, these events are a great way to connect with other committees and informally discuss what other groups are doing.

The Democratic Dispatch is a more or less weekly e-mail newsletter for Democratic events across the state. Your editors are Kate Donaghue and Matt Shear. Pace Willisson handles the tech stuff. We edit this as volunteers as our way of promoting the Democratic Party, Democratic candidates and the Democratic Platform. The positions represented in the regular “Greetings from Kate” or “Greetings from Matt” reflect our personal positions, and not those of the Democratic Party.
Thanks! Kate Donaghue (and Matt Shear)
