January 3, 2020/Dispatch
Happy New Year!
Dear Democrats,
It’s the first Dispatch of 2020! As we enter the new year, the most consequential election of our lifetime is on the horizon. That’s why we must hit the ground running and make sure we elect Democrats up and down the ballot in November!
Town and ward committees are holding their first meetings of the year in the next few weeks. These first meetings are a great chance to plan out your actions for 2020. While many of these meetings are listed in the Dispatch, Chairs, if you don’t see your committee’s meeting listed here, please send them to events@massdems.org.
Finally, throughout January, there will be trainings for those interested in running as delegates to the 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee! Next week there’ll be trainings in Foxborough, Lynn, Salem, and Cambridge. The Dispatch has all the January trainings listed, so if you are unable to attend any of the trainings above, be sure to check out others happening around the state.
Happy New Year!
Patrick Coyne
Communications Manager, Massachusetts Democratic Party
Ideas for Committee
With so much happening, it’s a great time to get more involved! Whether it’s for local, state, or national politics, here are a few ideas to get you inspired!
- Run to be a delegate to the state or national convention! Check out our website for more info.
- Volunteer for a local or national candidate or organization that you support! Commit to phonebank or canvass a few times a month or for however much time you’re able.
- Work with your town or ward committee to start that new initiative you’ve been thinking about! Now is the time to make it happen!
