December 20, 2019/Dispatch
Happy Holidays! DNC Trainings, Debates & More.
Dear Democrats,
With the backdrop of a historic impeachment vote, the debate last night once again made clear the importance of electing a Democratic President in 2020. Seven of our Democratic candidates took to the debate stage to share their vision for the future. Whether it’s healthcare, immigration, or climate change, all of our candidates are ready to take action and find solutions on day one.
But before we can take back the White House, we have to pick our nominee first. Over the next few months, Democrats across the country will be elected as delegates to the national convention in Milwaukee, where we will formally nominate a candidate for President. If you want to be one of those Democrats, join us at one of the Delegate Trainings that we’re hosting across the Commonwealth in January.
Attendees will learn about the process to become a delegate to the Democratic National Convention, hear from past delegates about their experiences, and see presentations on the 2020 Census and “Check the Box,” our voter registration initiative. Each of the trainings are listed in the Dispatch, and they’re also compiled on our website here.
If you have any questions about the trainings email Nigel Simon, our Political Director, at nigel@massdems.org or call 617-939-0800.
Happy Holidays, and see you all in 2020!
Sincerely,
Patrick Coyne
Communications Manager, Massachusetts Democratic Party
Ideas for Committees
As we approach the end of the year and look towards 2020, be sure to send in your meeting schedules for the new year, once they’re finalized. We’re hoping to streamline the process next year, so that the Dispatch is more helpful to all of you! When sending in your meetings, be sure to list them as dates (as opposed to something like “the second Tuesday of each month”) so we can correctly account for holidays. Please also include an email that we can reach out to in case we need to confirm that the meeting is still happening!
