Fall Fun – 09/28/2018
Greetings from Kate and Matt
Dear Democrats,
What we are seeing in DC these past few days reminds me of why I am working so hard to elect Democrats. We will be living with the legacy of this Supreme Court for many years. It reminds me how important it is to have legislators and elected leaders who share our values. Everything we do makes a difference. You don’t want to wake up on November 7th saying to yourself, “I wish I had done more.”
Want to find an opportunity to talk to voters near you? Check it out:
https://secure.ngpvan.com/p/xqzF1NaKD0uPKJdpdnS2wA2
There are many other places to help. If you don’t find a locations that suits you, please let me know and I will work with you to find something near you! I am KateDonaghue@aol.com at 508-404-8531.
Democratically yours,
Kate Donaghue
PS Please be sure that you use the DDemDispatch-owner e-mail address when sending in events. And please keep in mind that Matt and I work hard to try to get the most up to date information, but sometimes things change or there is a miscommunication. Check with the organizer or the webiste if you see something that looks wrong.
Ideas for Committees – Block Walking
Coordinated campaign canvassing. In Texas they call it block walking. Somehow I like the sound of that. Block walking. I tell people that canvassing is just going for a walk and if you’re lucky you get to talk to a voter.
As we go into these final critical days of the election, now is the time for local Democratic Committees to go into high gear! If you are not already talking to voters door to door, now is the time to start. Working with the coordinated campaign, figure out what makes sense for your area. Hosting canvasses locally helps build your Democratic Party infrastructure. In some places it makes more sense to canvass from a central location. If your committee is not already in touch with the Coordinated Campaign, connect with them now. If you don’t who the staff organizer is for your campaign, contact Josh@jay4ma.com or 617-803-5125.
