DISPATCH: The Democratic National Convention, Volunteer for Biden, & More!
Dear Democrats,
We live in uncertain times. In a world that’s been changed by coronavirus while inequalities that have persisted for hundreds of years have worsened, it’s critically important that we take back the White House in November.
In less than two months, we’ll officially nominate Joe Biden for President of the United States and launch him to victory. Since day one, Democrats have been committed to planning a convention that’s both successful and safe.
The 2020 Democratic National Convention will be anchored in Milwaukee, but it’ll go beyond our expectations, and engage Democrats in ways we never thought possible. This year’s convention will happen in every corner of the country, in person and online, and engage more people than it ever has. Democrats will be conducting official business without risking public health, state delegations will vote remotely, and the team in Milwaukee has on boarded infectious disease experts to help plan in person components.
In the coming weeks, the convention host committee will be rolling out new and exciting ways for Democrats to share their stories and ideas during the convention. You can sign up for updates from the Democratic National Convention Committee here.
We’ll be organizing and mobilizing like never before, and demonstrate just how adaptable and innovative we are as a Party–that’s how we’re going to win in November.
As always, send your events to events@massdems.org and have a safe and healthy weekend!
All the best,
Allison Mitchell
MassDems Communications Manager
Ideas for Committees
This is the most important election of our lives, and the road to November is getting shorter and shorter. That’s why the MassDems are challenging every committee to set up a recurring weekly phonebank for Joe Biden.
The Biden Action Center has tons of resources to help get you started, especially the Biden Organizer Toolkit. If you need help, fill out this form and the MassDems will connect you with a local Biden organizer.
