road to the state convention
During our caucus process, hundreds of Town, City, and Ward Committees will come together to elect the delegates who’ll discuss and decide on our party platform this fall at our annual Massachusetts Democratic State Convention.
The method of selecting delegates is determined each year by the MassDems Rules Subcommittee. This year's method, approved by the Democratic State Committee, can be found at this link. Delegate allocations per town/city/ward can be found at this link.
As caucus dates are announced, they will be added to the spreadsheet linked below.
The Preliminary Call to Convention is now available, providing key details ahead of the September 13, 2025 MassDems Convention in Springfield. This information will help Town, Ward, and City Committees as they plan and promote their caucuses. A more detailed Call to Convention will be released in August.
Delegates (including any ex officio delegates in attendance) and alternates may complete their certification form in its entirety. The demographic information requested on this form helps the state party ensure our delegation represents the diversity of the Commonwealth. Additionally, delegates and alternates who complete their certification form will begin receiving email updates from the state party as soon as possible.
