On September 25, 2021, over delegates will gather virtually to unveil a new Party Platform.
Over the summer, the 2021 Platform Committee solicited input from Democrats across the commonwealth on the issues that matter most to them. Ahead of the convention, delegates will have the opportunity to offer amendments to the proposed draft before adopting a new Party Platform. On September 25th, Democrats will come together to celebrate our bold statement of values and organize to win in 2021, 2022, and beyond.

Attending the Convention

Amendments to be considered by the Convention will be emailed to delegates no later than 10 days prior to the Convention, or Tuesday, September 14th. Amendments recommended by the committee may include a 250 word, or fewer, statement in support of the amendment from the committee and an opposing statement from a certified delegate. Amendments not recommended by the committee may include a 250 word, or fewer, statement from the original submitter and an opposing statement from the committee. The proposed 2021 Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform is a bold, progressive statement of values that contextualizes the challenges we face and meets the current moment with the urgency it deserves.

Pay Your Delegate Fee
Delegates and alternates must submit their $75 registration fee, with an added $15 late fee. The MassDems are committed to ensuring that all delegates are able to attend the convention, regardless of financial standing. A reduced fee of $50 is available for students, seniors, and persons with disabilities. If attending the convention presents a financial hardship, delegates and alternates may complete this form for a partial or full fee waiver.
