DSC Meeting - September 25th
The Democratic State Committee will meet on Saturday, September 25th at the GEAA in Pittsfield (303 Crane Ave, Pittsfield) at 1PM.
On the agenda for the meeting will be the election of one male-identified and one female-identified transgendered person and one female and one male bisexual person, pursuant to the Charter Amendment voted on at this year's Democratic State Convention.
If you are interested in running for any of these newly created seats and need additional information, please feel free to call the party office at 617-776-2676 and ask for Stacey Monahan. Nominations will be accepted from the floor of the meeting.
2010 Democratic Convention
The Massachusetts Democratic Party would like to thank all the volunteers and delegates who helped make the 2010 Democratic Convention such a success. Congratulations to Governor Deval Patrick, Lt Governor Timothy Murray, Attorney General Martha Coakley and Secretary of State Bill Galvin for receiving the endorsement of the Democratic Convention for their re-election campaigns. In addition, there were contested races for State Treasurer and State Auditor.
In the race for Treasurer, Steve Grossman received the endorsement of the Convention and Steve Murphy achieved access to the primary ballot. In the race for Auditor, all three candidates, Suzanne Bump, Guy Glodis and Mike Lake, achieved access to the primary ballot.
