Today's news that more Massachusetts residents are living in poverty should be a major wake-up call to Mitt Romney and Kerry Healey. After more than three years on their watch, one in 10 of Bay State residents is struggling to hold on.
“This is a very serious matter for the people of this state,” said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Phil Johnston. “It is yet another clear indication of the inattention Mitt Romney and Kerry Healey have paid to working people since they took office three years ago..
While other governors across the country have made eradicating poverty a top priority, the Romney-Healey administration has been deafeningly silent on the issue.”
Massachusetts residents cannot afford another four years of wasted leadership. This is yet another reason we must elect a Democratic governor this November. |
